Pearl River, Nominated Again For
“Acoustic Piano Line Of The Year” ~ Four Years In A Row!
Musical Merchandise Review, (MMR Magazine) announced that Pearl River has been nominated for “2018 Acoustic Piano Line of the Year”. This is very rewarding after winning both the 2016 and 2015 “Acoustic Piano Line of the Year”. Pearl River was selected by MMR Magazine’s subscribers and represents a significant achievement for our company.
In recent years, Pearl River has revised and streamlined its model line with the assistance of European and American piano-design consultants. The result is a line of pianos widely recognized for quality, fine design and exceptional value.
We appreciate the support of everyone who made this possible…our staff, our dealers, our customers and the MMR magazine subscribers who gave us their vote!
Total Control Over Manufacturing
While many pianos are now made in facilities foreign to their headquarters, Pearl River has for our entire history controlled every step of the manufacturing process, from the selection of woods, to the crafting of actions, soundboards, wet sand-cast plates, and every other integral part of the piano. This control ensures a consistently high quality piano true to the exact scale-design.
Wet Sand Cast Plates
The plate is a foundation of a piano, the strength that supports the incredible tension placed on the instrument by its strings. Pearl River uses high-quality “pig iron” which is melted in foundries and poured in wet sand molds. Some manufacturers only use this method in their most expensive models. We use this method for every piano we make. Wet Sand Cast plates provide more mass for strength, and do not produce undesirable harmonic feedback like “vacuum processed” plates. Wet sand cast plates are used in the world’s finest pianos.

Introducing The Pearl River EU110
The most affordable hand-crafted piano in the industry. Pearl River is proud to present a high quality, hand-crafted piano at an extremely affordable price. This model includes premium hammers, butcher block style key bed, Solid spruce keys, static-UV polyester application, double wheel casters, and leg and attached toe block.
The EU122 has won praise from music industry magazines, the world’s #1 Piano Forum www.pianoworld.com and excellent reviews by the world’s #1 Piano Ranking website www.pianobuyer.com which designated the EU122 a “staff favorite!” The EU122 is a 48” studio piano suitable for players at any level. Strategically off-set backposts provide greater strength in the treble section of the piano where the most tension exists, and less in the bass, providing pleasingly-even tone across the piano. This is a feature normally reserved for pianos costing much more. Experienced craftspeople notch the bridge by hand. Premium German felt is used for the hammerheads, and butcher-block construction with spruce is used for the key bed, designed to withstand heavy use.
Pearl River has perfected the grand piano to deliver a range of fine instruments producing the ultimate in rich tone and responsive touch. By combining the finest materials with a well-acknowledged design and technological expertise, Pearl River offers grand pianos in a variety of sizes, finishes and cabinetry, all distinguished by superb resonance and exceptional presence.
Classic Baby Grand
The GP150 has been one of the best selling “baby grand” pianos in North America since the 1990’s. At 4’11”, the wide – tail design of this piano gives the “belly” of the piano more tone, expanding the “sweet spot” where the bass tone is produced. For those with smaller spaces but a taste for the tone and touch of a grand piano, the GP150 is the perfect instrument, providing the sound of a bigger grand piano. Unlike many pianos of this size, the GP150 comes standard with a full sustenueto middle pedal. Shown in Mahogany Polish-Saplele.
Parlor Grand Piano
The 5’8” GP170 is an ideal sized grand piano for the average-sized home. With all of the features found in Pearl River’s largest concert grand pianos, the GP170 brings the concert hall experience into your living room. This grand piano features straight-grained spruce keys, duplex scaling, German felts and strings, and was created by our European and American piano-design consultants.
Professional Grand Piano
The 6’2” GP188A has become a very popular full-sized grand piano due to its solid design, long standing reputation and affordable price. With the tone of a concert grand piano, yet a size appropriate to the average home, the GP188A is a popular choice for those seeking a larger grand piano with increased projection of tone. Universities, music schools, colleges, performance venues and others have come to count on the reliable performance and superb tone delivery of the GP188A.
